3 sessions from Mon 14 Apr 2025 [Show]
The course is designed for Boys & girls aged 8-12 and will be organised and run by Jay Swain (UEFA qualified coach)
The Course Overview
Day 1: Ball Control & Dribbling - Players will focus on mastering ball control and dribbling techniques through fun,
engaging drills and challenges. Emphasis will be on improving individual skills, including passing, receiving, and 1v1
situations, with a relaxed and supportive atmosphere to encourage confidence.
Day 2: Passing, Moving & Team Play - The focus will shift to teamwork, passing, and movement off the ball, helping
players understand how to work together in small-sided games. Simple passing drills, fun games, and a focus on
communication will prepare the players for better teamwork and positioning in match situations.
Day 3: World Cup Tournament Day! - The final day will be filled with fun and friendly competition as players are divided
into teams ("countries") to compete in mini-tournaments, skill challenges, and a World Cup knockout round. The day will
emphasise teamwork, skill application, and sportsmanship, with a fun closing ceremony to celebrate everyone's effort.
This three-day curriculum ensures kids develop technical skills, enjoy the game, and experience the thrill of competition—all
in a fun, positive environment!
The course will run from 8:30am - 4:30pm and will be priced at £40 per day for Claremont School students. Students will require shin pads, boots and astro trainers. Lunch will not be provided so a packed lunch and snacks should be provided for students.
We will be closing applications for the course on the 14th March. The course will only run if there are sufficient numbers.
